Who We Are
Our driving force is the well-being of our seniors. The Hellenic Home for the Aged is a not for profit organization dedicated to providing exceptional quality care and services to the seniors in our community that enhance their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health. By staying at the forefront of our community’s ever-changing needs, our service is second-to-none. Our seniors live in a nurturing environment that respects, enhances and promotes their dignity, independence and happiness. The Home offers a unique cultural setting – one that is proud to recognize the customs and traditions of our residents who are of a predominantly Greek ethnic background – but with a long-standing commitment to provide for the needs of individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Under the strong, experienced knowledge of our staff, supported by our Board of Directors, Committees, and volunteers, the Hellenic Home combines professional practices with compassionate caring – a unique combination that ultimately benefits our residents and the community overall. Our dedicated staff works with families, volunteers and other service providers and agencies to address and provide for the needs of our seniors.

The Home offers 225 independent living seniors’ apartments at our Toronto location.
Long Term Care
The Home operates two Long Term Care facilities situated in Toronto and Scarborough.
Hellenic Care Toronto
The Toronto Long Term Care facility consists of 81 beds, offering private, semi-private and basic accommodation.
Hellenic Home Scarborough
The Scarborough Long Term Care facility consists of 128 beds, offering private and basic accommodation.
Adult Day Program
The Adult Day Program located at the Toronto site accommodates up to 12 clients.
||The Hellenic Home for the Aged was incorporated.
||Phase I was built which consisted of 150 independent living seniors’ apartments and a gathering area, the Estia, for the tenants and the community.
||The Hellenic Home opened its Phase II facility consisting of 82 long-term care beds. Seventy-five additional independent living seniors’ apartments were also built.
||The St. Anargyroi Greek Orthodox Chapel was built to fulfill the spiritual needs of our seniors residing in the apartments and in the long-term care facility. The Hellenic Home addressed their evolving healthcare needs of our seniors residing in the independent living apartments by implementing the Supportive Housing Department.
||Hellenic Home opened our new 128-bed Long-Term Care facility in Scarborough.
||The Adult Day Program located at the Toronto site was opened to provide social, recreational and therapeutic service for older adults with physical frailty and/or cognitive impairment along with respite services to their caregivers.
||The Hellenic Home reached a new milestone in providing for the spiritual needs of our seniors and enhancing their quality of life – the completion of the Saints Kyrillos and Methodios Chapel at our Scarborough Long-Term Care facility
